Prevalence of Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders in Paediatric Population by Using the Rome IV Criteria in a Tertiary Centre, Northeast Thailand: A Cross-sectional Descriptive Analytic Study

Objective: To assess the prevalence of functional GI disorders (FGIDs) according to the Rome IV criteria in a paediatric in tertiary centre, Northeast Thailand

Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive analytic study was conducted and 112 children aged 0-18 years old were recruited from 2016 to 2019. The prevalence of FGIDs was assessed.

Results: According to the Rome IV criteria, 32.1% of infants and toddlers aged 0-36 months and 67.9% of children aged 4-18 years fulï¬Âlled criteria for FGIDs. 77.1% and 65.5% of them were female, respectively.
